I read a wonderful verse from the Bhagavad-gita which describes how to be successful in our devotional service.

BG 18.65: man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mad-yājī māṁ namaskuru mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo 'si me

"Always think of Me, become My devotee, worship Me and offer your homage unto Me. Thus you will come to Me without fail. I promise you this because you are My very dear friend."

This verse contains the four essential practices for success in devotional service: (1) man-manā — always think of Krishna; (2) mad-bhakto — become His devotee; (3) mad-yājī — worship Him; (4) māṁ namaskuru — offer obeisances to Him.

Srila Prabhupada explains that this is the most confidential instruction of the entire Bhagavad-gita. Krishna personally promises that one who follows these four practices will certainly come to Him. This is not just a recommendation — it is a divine promise from the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself.

Let us therefore make these four practices the foundation of our daily life: always remember Krishna, maintain our identity as His devotee, worship Him through our daily sadhana, and offer our respectful obeisances to Him and His devotees.
